Performing all genres of music on their home stage at Frederick Community College, CASF is known for bringing a dynamic and invigorating concert set to every season. We rehearse at the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned Choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within the society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). Another possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. Another possibility is a joint concert with another UCS. And what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals? Handel's Messiah? COME ALONG AND HAVE YOUR SAY!  less

Usually consisting of 20 to 24 members, the Chorale focuses primarily on chamber Choir repertoire and tackles a wide variety of styles, languages, and techniques. Chorale membership is reserved for students who demonstrate some level of music-reading ability, experience singing in advanced choral ensembles, and/or the potential to thrive in a small, advanced chamber Choir environment. During the audition process, careful attention is given to maintaining artistic balance among the sections of the chorus. In addition to performances throughout the academic year, students in Chorale are expected to remain on campus for an additional week after the conclusion of each spring semester to perform in Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies and participate in end-of-year touring activities.  less

Aside from its undeniable musical prowess and versatility in performing classical, Filipino folk, pop, and Broadway genres—all with ease, the Concert Chorus is also recognized as the pioneer of choreographed song for a Choir. This innovation was started by the late Dean Reynaldo T. With a large repertoire ranging from art to popular music, and stretching from the medieval to the contemporary in style, this Choir gives many concerts throughout the academic year, both in Ireland and abroad. Following a competitive selection process each September, eighteen gifted students are awarded a scholarship, with recipients of the award coming from a range of academic disciplines across the University, from Music to Medicine, Law, Agricultural Science, Commerce and Engineering. The Choir regularly broadcasts on Irish television and radio.
