Undertakes to be a space for youth have contact with concert choral music. The group sings a diverse and technically challenging repertoire, exploring different sounds and new musical languages. In his repertoire are works by composers as Janequin, Scarlatti, Bach, Beethoven, Whitacre, Widmer, Stroope, Jobim and Ronaldo Miranda. The styles range from classical to popular, jazz, spirituals, sacred music, Brazilian Popular Music, opera and musicals. Since its formation is conducted by Altamiro Bernardes and has Lana Bernardes as assistant conductor. Singers in this ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around The world. The Chamber Choir forms The core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout The year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, The Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and The Richard Eaton Singers.  less

Its first members were students of The Club's Music School and many of Them participated in The Youth Choir of The city of Heraklion, under The direction of Mrs. Katerina Tzagkaraki. The name of The ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legislator, after whom a street in Heraklion is named; in this street The first rehearsals of The ensemble took place. The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with The a cappella (“in The chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) vocal music of The renaissance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G. P. da Palestrina, Orlando di Lasso) to assist The learning process of its members' musical studies. It started life as The James Ashworth Singers giving its first concert in Thornton Parish Church in April 1976. After some years The base moved to The Unitarian Church near St Luke’s Hospital to be more central for members coming from all parts of Bradford and The surrounding area. In 1979 James Ashworth moved on to projects new and was succeeded by Douglas Robinson who had recently retired as Chorus Master at Covent Garden and who held The post until ill health forced his retirement. During this period The name was changed first to The Ashworth Singers and later to The Bradford Chorale. John Coates took over as Musical Director in 1984 and was followed by Tricia Platts in 1991. Since Tricia’s departure The Chorale has been led by several Musical Directors including Carleton ETherington, Andrew Dibb, Elizabeth Altman, John Griffiths and Christopher Rathbone. Se inician en el canto polifónico postulando primero a la Cor...  moreEl Coro está dirigido por el Maestro Arturo Hernández desde 1992. Ha ofrecido cerca de 400 presentaciones. Lo forman estudiantes de las especialidades que ofrece la Universidad de Piura (Perú). Se inician en el canto polifónico postulando primero a la Coral Universitaria, por donde han pasado cerca de mil jóvenes diferentes en los últimos 15 años. Los más destacados, son admitidos en el Coro, donde se perfeccionan a través de ensayos semanales, bajo la dirección del Maestro Hernández. Normalmente actúan entre 35 y 50 jóvenes, que saben armonizar su tiempo de clases y estudio con los ensayos. Desde 1989 el Coro y la Coral son promovidos por el Dr. Luis Eguiguren Callirgos.
