During this time they have developed a reputation for their commitment to the highest level of musicality. Comprising some of the finest young singers in the country, members of the choir are all alumni of the Eton Choral Courses.
Conducted by their founder Ralph Allwood, the Sound of the choir is a reflection of their profound sensitivity to text, blend and phrasing. They use imaginative programming, and have become known for their innovative and exciting performances and their extensive array of recordings. The most recent addition to this catalogue will be released in November 2013, and features works by Paul Mealor and Benjamin Britten.
As well as regular broadcasts on BBC Radio, the Rodolfus Choir is developing an increasing profile for work on film and television. Recent Projects have included working wi... less

Does he want to kiss me?

This concert was the culmination of a six-week Project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. Usually eight songs are learnt in six two-hour sessions and in the winter are performed at St. Peters by the Waterfront, Ipswich. http://chrisrowbury.com less

I’m new to singing in choirs. Does that matter?
Absolutely not! VOCALIZE: Blackheath welcomes singers of all abilities and experiences, and the songs will be taught in a variety of ways to suit each singer.

It’s not a problem at all. We anticipate that some people will read music fluently, and some won’t know their a cappella from their ensemble. Our skilled conductors will guide you through the music in a number of different ways, and before you know it, you’ll be s... less
